The Perfect Snack Pairing
Six blends. Endless possibilities. A guide to pairing Nutistry with everything from single-origin coffee to dark chocolate.
The right pairing doesn't just complement a flavour — it transforms it. Here's how we think about matching Nutistry blends to what's on your table.
Firecracker Almonds → Cold brew coffee
The bold, low-acid character of cold brew is the ideal counterweight to the heat of the Firecracker. The bitterness frames the spice rather than fighting it. The chill resets the palate between bites. This is a pairing that keeps escalating — each sip makes the next nut more interesting, and vice versa.
For a caffeine-free version: sparkling water with citrus. The effervescence does the same job.
Mango Habanero Cashews → Mango or passion fruit juice
The tropical fruitiness in this blend wants something that amplifies rather than competes. A good mango juice — not the sugary concentrate, but the real thing — sits alongside the blend and extends the fruit note before the heat arrives. Passion fruit works similarly: bright, acidic, and genuinely tropical.
Peri Peri Cashews → Mint tea
Classic heat-and-cool pairing logic applies here. The menthol character of a strong mint tea cuts through the peri peri seasoning and provides genuine relief between bites. It also cleanses the palate fully, so each nut hits as if it's the first. A chilled mint tea works just as well as a hot one.
Smoky Paprika Almonds → Dark chocolate (70%+)
Smoke meets depth. A good 70% dark chocolate brings bitter cocoa notes that sit alongside rather than underneath the paprika. The fat in the chocolate carries the spice differently to the nut itself — it lingers, it builds, it changes. This is the most sophisticated pairing in the range.
Sweet Cinnamon Pecans & Walnuts → Chai or spiced coffee
The warm cinnamon glaze wants something that echoes its spice profile. A well-made chai — with cardamom, clove, and ginger — harmonises with the pecan's sweetness and extends the warmth. A cinnamon-dusted flat white does something similar with a roasted undertone. This is an after-dinner pairing. Take your time with it.
Chilli & Lime Pistachios → Sparkling water with lime
The brightness of the lime and the pistachio's natural richness work with almost any sparkling drink. A high-quality sparkling water with genuine citrus character — not added flavouring — is the cleanest pairing in the range. Add a wedge of actual lime and it becomes something worth sitting down for.
